Apple Cider Cranberry Sauce

Spiced cranberry sauce infused with apple cider, orange zest for a special touch.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups apple cider
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tablespoon grated orange zest
  • 12 whole cloves
  • 2.5 cups fresh cranberries
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan, mix together the apple cider, sugar, cinnamon sticks, orange zest, and cloves. Bring it to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until the sugar is dissolved and the flavors are well blended.
  • Add cranberries to the saucepan, increase heat to high, and bring to a boil. Stir continuously until cranberries start to pop, which should take 5 to 10 minutes. Lower the heat to simmer and cook until sauce thickens, around 5 minutes. Discard cinnamon sticks and cloves. Transfer the mixture to a shallow dish to cool before serving.
