Indulge in tender apple pork with cabbage, bacon, and peas for a cozy winter feast.
Ingredients:
  • 66.25 gm apple sauce
  • 42.00 gm light soy sauce
  • 4 pork cutlets, trimmed
  • 9.20 gm olive oil
  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 4 rashers rindless shortcut bacon, thinly sliced
  • 500.00 ml shredded green cabbage (see note)
  • 500.00 ml frozen peas
Instructions:
  • In a shallow dish, mix apple and soy sauce. Add pork and coat evenly. In a frying pan over medium-high heat, warm oil. Add pork (reserving marinade) and cook each side for 2 to 3 minutes until lightly browned. Transfer pork to a plate.
  • Lower the heat to medium and introduce the onion, garlic, and bacon to the pan. Sauté, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes until the onion becomes tender. Toss in the cabbage and cook for an additional 3 to 4 minutes. Reintroduce the pork and its marinade to the pan, cover, and simmer over medium-low heat for 8 to 10 minutes until the pork is fully cooked, adding the peas during the last 5 minutes of cooking. Serve and enjoy!
