Deliciously chewy oatmeal cookies packed with nuts, raisins, and chocolate chips.
Ingredients:
  • 1.75 cups quick cooking oats
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.75 cup applesauce
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease the cookie sheets. In a medium bowl, combine quick oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg; set aside.
  • Cream together smooth butter, brown sugar, and white sugar in a large bowl. Add egg and applesauce, beat well. Stir in oatmeal mixture until blended, then fold in chocolate chips, raisins, and walnuts. Drop rounded spoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, then cool cookies on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
