Apricot and raisin kugel: a sweet and festive dessert!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package wide egg noodles
  • 0.25 cup butter, softened
  • 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup apricot nectar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup golden raisins
  • 1.5 cups cornflake crumbs
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  • Bring a large saucepan of salted water to a boil. Add egg noodles and cook until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain well.
  • Combine egg noodles, butter, cream cheese, eggs, sugar, and vanilla in a medium bowl until well mixed. Add apricot nectar and milk, then fold in raisins. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan.
  • Combine cornflake crumbs, 1/2 cup butter, 1/4 cup sugar, the rest of the vanilla, and cinnamon in a separate bowl. Spread this mixture over the egg noodle mixture.
  • Bake for 45 minutes in the oven until golden brown and bubbling.
