Broiled Artichoke Hearts with Parmesan and Breadcrumbs: A deliciously irresistible appetizer that's sure to leave you craving for more.
Ingredients:
  • 6 canned artichoke hearts, drained and halved
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons dry bread crumbs
  • 0.25 cup finely grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.5 lemon, cut into wedges
Instructions:
  • Allow artichoke heart halves to rest cut-side down on a paper towel for approximately 15 minutes to drain.
  • Position the oven rack 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the broiler. Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil and gently grease with vegetable oil.
  • Arrange the artichoke heart halves on the baking sheet, cut-side up. Season with a pinch of salt and a dash of pepper. Top with breadcrumbs, cheese, and a generous drizzle of olive oil.
  • Broil artichoke hearts until golden brown on top, approximately 7 minutes. Accompany with lemon wedges for serving.
