Try this delicious Chinese beef stir-fry, best enjoyed with a cold beer.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 large red onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 leeks, chopped
  • 1 small carrot, chopped
  • 1 pound beef round steak, sliced paper thin
Instructions:
  • Combine soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, garlic, and red onion in a large bowl. Add black pepper, red pepper flakes, sesame seeds, leeks, and carrot. Use your hands to mix in the meat for an even coating. Cover and marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best flavor.
  • Prepare the wok by brushing the bottom half with cooking oil and heating over medium-high heat. Add all the meat and marinade together and cook, stirring constantly until the meat is cooked through in just a few minutes. Remove from heat and serve along with rice or noodles. For a Korean-style twist, wrap the meat mixture in a red lettuce leaf.
