Savory Asian greens and assorted mushrooms shine in this flavorful side dish.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped finely
  • 20.00 ml ginger (cut into thin 4cm lengths)
  • 125ml oyster sauce
  • 18.20 gm peanut oil
  • 1 bunch baby bok choy, trimmed
  • 1 bunch baby gai lan (Chinese broccoli), trimmed and cut into 15cm lengths
  • 1 bunch choy sum, trimmed and cut into 15cm lengths
  • 350g mixed Asian mushrooms, trimmed
  • 1 packet silken firm tofu, drained, cut into 4cm cubes
  • Toasted sesame seeds, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a wok or large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat, sizzle half of the sesame oil. Toss in the garlic and ginger, cook for 30 seconds. Stir in the oyster sauce, cook for another 30 seconds or until warm. Take off heat, cover, and set aside.
  • Clean the wok. Heat the rest of the sesame oil and peanut oil on medium-high. Stir-fry bok choy, gai larn, and choy sum for 3 minutes. Then add mushrooms and stir-fry for 2 more minutes.
  • Transfer the cooked food to a serving plate. Add the tofu on top and pour the warm oyster sauce mixture over it. Garnish with sesame seeds and serve right away with rice or noodles.
