Effortlessly delicious skillet sirloin with garlic, soy sauce, bell peppers, and cherry tomatoes - perfect for busy nights!
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb beef top sirloin (about 1/2-inch thick), trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 bell peppers, seeded, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 12 cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 1/2 cups hot cooked rice
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced
Instructions:
  • Thinly slice beef into elegant 2-inch-long strips. Place the beef in a stylish medium bowl. Sprinkle flour, salt, and pepper over the beef, then toss gracefully until the beef is coated in the flour.
  • Preheat wok or 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, then cook beef, stirring occasionally, for 3 to 4 minutes until browned. Remove beef. Add the remaining tablespoon of oil, bell peppers, and onion. Stir and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until veggies start to sweat.
  • Add the beef back to the wok and toss in the garlic. Stir and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until fragrant and golden brown.
  • Combine the brown sugar, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a small bowl until the brown sugar is fully dissolved.
  • Combine sauce and cherry tomatoes with the beef and vegetables, stirring until sauce thickens, beef reaches desired doneness, and vegetables are tender, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Serve the rice and pepper steak in individual bowls. Garnish each with fresh green onions.
