Asian seared tuna

Fresh fish with vibrant Asian flavors, cooked effortlessly for a delightful dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 x 200 g thick yellowfin tuna steak, sustainably sourced
  • 3 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • olive oil
  • sesame oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2cm piece of fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon low-salt soy sauce
  • ½ lemon
  • 3 sprigs of fresh coriander
  • 1 spring onion
  • 1 fresh red chilli
Instructions:
  • Trim off and discard the tough vein from the tuna, then cut into 3cm chunks. Coat the tuna chunks in sesame seeds. Heat a mix of olive and sesame oil in a pan. Fry garlic until golden and crisp, then transfer to a plate. Sear sesame-coated tuna in the garlicky oil. Make a dressing with grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and lemon juice. Cut seared tuna into 1cm slices. Plate the tuna, drizzle with dressing, top with garlic chips, coriander, spring onion, chili, and olive oil. Enjoy your delicious dish!
