Succulent seared tuna elevated with vibrant Asian marinade and sesame seeds.
Ingredients:
  • 3 (about 300g each) tuna steaks
  • 73.50 gm soy sauce
  • 36.00 gm sesame seeds
  • 27.30 gm peanut oil, plus extra to fry
  • 2 handfuls of rocket or baby spinach leaves
  • 1 small Spanish red onion, cut into rings
  • 30.00 ml sherry vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
Instructions:
  • Coat the tuna with a generous amount of soy sauce, ensuring both sides are well-covered. Gently press sesame seeds onto the tuna, making sure they stick. Refrigerate the tuna for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • In a hot pan, sear tuna in a touch of peanut oil for 1 minute on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 30 seconds. Allow tuna to rest.
  • Next, mix together the rest of the ingredients and move them to a serving plate. Slice each steak diagonally into six pieces and arrange them on top of the salad.
