Elevate pork tenderloin with a sweet and salty Asian brine for tender, juicy, flavorful results. Grill, glaze, and serve with brown rice, glazed carrots, and steamed greens for a complete and delicious meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 gallon water
  • 0.5 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons finely grated ginger
  • 0.25 cup grated onion
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 (1 1/2 pound) pork tenderloin
  • 0.5 cup sweet and sour sauce
  • 0.5 cup hoisin sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
Instructions:
  • Combine water, 1/2 cup brown sugar, salt, 2 tablespoons ginger, onion, lemon, 5 cloves of garlic, and 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce in a large container to create the brine. Place the pork tenderloin in the brine, cover, and refrigerate for 2 to 8 hours.
  • Combine 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce, sweet and sour sauce, hoisin sauce, 4 cloves of garlic, 2 tablespoons ginger, brown sugar, and orange juice in a bowl and whisk until smooth for the glaze.
  • Preheat the outdoor grill to high heat.
  • Grill the pork tenderloin over medium heat until cooked through, about 7 to 12 minutes per side. Rest the tenderloin covered in foil for 10 minutes. Brush with glaze and thinly slice to serve.
