Elevate your dish with a simple and delicious Asian marinade using soy sauce and fresh ginger.
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 teaspoons grated gingerroot or 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
  • 3 to 3 1/2 lb. cut-up frying chicken (8 pieces)
Instructions:
  • In a small bowl, thoroughly mix all ingredients except for the chicken. Place the chicken in a 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish or a large resealable plastic bag. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring it is well-coated. Cover the dish or seal the bag, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 8 hours to marinate, flipping the chicken occasionally.
  • Preheat your gas or charcoal grill. Take the chicken out of the marinade, saving the marinade for later. Grill the chicken over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes or until it is tender and the juices run clear. Remember to turn and brush the chicken with the marinade throughout. Dispose of any excess marinade.
