Flavorful Asian mushroom burger.
Ingredients:
  • 4 large field mushrooms
  • 42.00 gm sweet soy sauce
  • 6.00 gm sesame seeds
  • 1 avocado, stoned, peeled, mashed
  • 10.60 gm lemon juice
  • 6.00 gm miso paste
  • 4 High Fibre Low GI Harvest Grain Bread Rolls*, split, toasted
  • 80g cabbage
  • 1 carrot, peeled, finely shredded
  • 20g alfalfa sprout
Instructions:
  • Preheat a large chargrill to medium heat. Lightly coat each mushroom with olive oil spray and brush with soy sauce. Grill the mushrooms, rotating and basting with soy sauce, for about 5 mins until nearly tender. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and continue cooking for another minute until seeds are toasted.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the avocado, lemon juice, and miso paste. Season to taste.
  • Evenly spread the delicious avocado mixture on the cut sides of the rolls. Place the roll bases on serving plates. Layer with mushroom, cabbage, carrot, and alfalfa sprouts. Finish with the roll tops and serve right away.
