Steam asparagus and onions until tender, then caramelize in butter with garlic for a flavorful dish.
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 0.5 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
  • 0.5 cup diced white onion
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
Instructions:
  • Fill a skillet with water and bring to a boil over medium heat. Add asparagus and onion, cover, and steam for 2 to 5 minutes until tender. Add more water as needed to keep steaming.
  • Once the water has evaporated, add butter to the skillet. Sauté the onions and asparagus until lightly browned. Stir in garlic and cook for about 30 seconds. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
