Ingredients:
  • 1 pound thin asparagus spears
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 ounce shaved Parmesan cheese
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.25 cup balsamic vinegar, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  • Spread asparagus on a baking sheet, generously coat with olive oil, arrange in a single layer. Top with Parmesan cheese and freshly ground black pepper.
  • Place the dish in the oven until the cheese is gooey and the asparagus is perfectly cooked with a slight crunch, for 12 to 15 minutes. Serve promptly on heated plates, drizzling with balsamic vinegar.
