Elevate your burger game with gourmet lamb patties topped with crisp coleslaw, grilled apple, and creamy blue cheese.
Ingredients:
  • 500g Lamb Mince
  • 70g breadcrumbs
  • 1 Free Range Egg, lightly whisked
  • 1 brown onion, coarsely grated
  • 62.50 ml fresh mint, finely chopped
  • 1/2 mini savoy cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1/2 mini red cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 carrot, peeled, cut into matchsticks
  • 40.00 ml pine nuts, toasted
  • 75g mayonnaise
  • 5.90 gm Dijon mustard
  • 6 slices Burger Blue cheese
  • 1 Granny Smith apple, cut into 1cm-thick slices
  • 6 Hamburger Rolls, split
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, mix together mince, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, and mint. Season to taste. Divide mixture into 6 equal portions and shape each into a 12cm patty. Place on a plate, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  • In a large bowl, mix together cabbage, carrot, pine nuts, mayonnaise, and mustard. Season to taste.
  • Preheat a barbecue grill or chargrill on high heat. Grill the patties for 3 minutes on each side or until fully cooked. Add blue cheese on top and continue cooking for 1 minute until the cheese begins to melt. Transfer the patties to a plate. Grill the apple slices for 1 minute on each side or until they have a light char.
  • Grill the cut side of the rolls until lightly toasted, about 1 minute. Place on serving plates and assemble by adding coleslaw, apple slices, and patties. Top with the roll tops and serve right away.
