Indulge in perfectly fluffy and crispy waffles topped with bacon and buttermilk for a breakfast everyone will love. A delicious way to start your day!
Ingredients:
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 8 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled (1/2 cup)
  • Maple or blueberry syrup, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat your waffle iron. If your waffle iron doesn't have a nonstick coating, lightly brush it with vegetable oil or cooking spray before pouring the batter for each waffle.
  • In a large bowl, whisk eggs until fluffy. Mix in all remaining ingredients except syrup until well blended.
  • Pour a generous 1/2 cup of batter onto the center of the hot waffle iron from a cup or pitcher. Close the lid of the waffle iron and follow the manufacturer's recommended cooking time.
  • Bake for around 5 minutes or until steaming stops. Gently take out the waffle. Repeat with the rest of the batter. Serve with syrup.
