Elevate your burger with smoky bacon, herbed mayo, earthy mushrooms, and melty Swiss cheese.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons herbes de Provence
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 8 Ball Park® Hamburger Buns
  • 0.5 pound thick-cut smoked bacon
  • 0.5 pound button mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 2 teaspoons garlic granules
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 16 slices Swiss cheese
  • Burger trimmings as desired, including lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles
Instructions:
  • In a medium bowl, mix mayonnaise, dried herbs, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice until well combined. Refrigerate the flavorful herbed mayo.
  • Slice the strips of bacon in half lengthwise and sizzle in a skillet over medium heat until they are beautifully crispy.
  • Place the cooked ingredients on a paper towel to absorb excess grease. Reserve 1 tablespoon of the bacon drippings in the pan.
  • Combine mushroom slices and soy sauce in the pan.
  • Sauté mushrooms on medium heat until golden and tender, for about 5 to 10 minutes. Transfer to paper towels to drain excess oil.
  • Prepare the grill by heating it to medium heat and lightly oiling the grate.
  • Combine ground beef, garlic granules, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Shape into patties. Grill each side for 3-5 minutes until thermometer reads 150°F (65°C) when inserted into the center.
  • In the final 2 minutes, generously sprinkle cheese on top and cover to achieve that perfect melty goodness.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C), place the hamburger buns on a foil-lined baking sheet, and toast both sides of the buns until lightly golden.
  • Transfer the toasted buns onto serving plates and generously slather them with flavorful herbed mayonnaise.
  • Top each bun with a cheese-topped patty, add your favorite hamburger toppings, place the top bun, and savor the flavors.
