Elevate your game day spread with savory bacon-wrapped wings slathered in a bourbon-infused BBQ sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked pepper
  • 3 lb chicken wingettes and drummettes
  • 12 slices bacon, cut in half crosswise
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Prepare 2 cookie sheets by lining them with heavy-duty foil and spraying with cooking spray.
  • Season the chicken with a generous amount of pepper, then carefully wrap each piece with a half slice of bacon.
  • Arrange the bacon-wrapped chicken on baking sheets with the bacon ends facing down. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, then flip the chicken pieces and rotate the baking sheets in the oven. Continue baking for an additional 20 to 30 minutes until the chicken is golden brown and the juices run clear when the thickest part is cut at least 165°F.
  • In a 1-quart saucepan, combine the Bourbon Sauce ingredients and simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently until the sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Combine the chicken with half of the sauce in a large bowl, then serve warm with the remaining sauce on the side for dipping.
