Delicious bacon-wrapped meatloaf made with a savory blend of pork and beef, ideal for a cozy family meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 0.5 pound ground pork sausage
  • 1 sleeve crushed buttery round crackers (such as Ritz®)
  • 0.66666668653488 cup ketchup
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 12 slices thick-cut bacon
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Mix beef, sausage, crackers, ketchup, onion, eggs, onion powder, and garlic powder in a large bowl until fully combined, using hands for optimal blending. Shape the mixture into a loaf.
  • Create a bacon basket weave and place the meatloaf in the center. Carefully transfer the meatloaf to a loaf pan ensuring the bacon is on the bottom and sides.
  • Roast in the already heated oven for approximately 1 1/2 hours, or until fully cooked in the middle. The internal temperature should register at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C) when tested with an instant-read thermometer. Rest for 5 minutes before gently transferring to a platter.
