Crispy Cajun-spiced baked chicken drumsticks - juicy, flavorful, and easy to make.
Ingredients:
  • 8 chicken drumsticks
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon basil
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  • Place chicken in a large resealable plastic bag, add vegetable oil, seal the bag, and massage to coat the chicken evenly.
  • In a small bowl, mix together paprika, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, basil, thyme, and cayenne pepper until well combined. Transfer the spice mixture to the bag with the chicken, seal the bag, and toss to coat the chicken evenly.
  • Place the drumsticks onto the baking sheet, removing the plastic bag.
  • Bake the chicken until it's no longer pink at the bone and the juices run clear, about 25 minutes, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) when checked with an instant-read thermometer near the bone.
  • To achieve an irresistibly crispy skin, place an oven rack 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the broiler. Broil chicken for 5 minutes.
