Crispy Cajun baked chicken drumsticks with homemade spice mix and baking powder for extra crunchiness.
Ingredients:
  • aluminum foil
  • 6 chicken drumsticks
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon dried basil
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground thyme
  • 0.25 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.25 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and elegantly line a baking pan with aluminum foil.
  • Dry the drumsticks thoroughly with paper towels.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together baking powder, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, basil, thyme, oregano, cumin, and cayenne pepper. Stir in melted butter until well combined. Add drumsticks and coat evenly. Transfer drumsticks to a prepared baking pan.
  • Roast in the oven until drumsticks are fully cooked, 20 to 25 minutes, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) near the bone.
