Tantalize your taste buds with zesty harissa and lemon-pepper baked chicken wings as a delicious alternative to traditional buffalo wings.
Ingredients:
  • aluminum foil
  • 2 pounds party chicken wings
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon-pepper seasoning
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup spicy harissa sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Gently cover a baking sheet with shiny aluminum foil and perch a cooling rack on top.
  • In a large bowl, coat wings with olive oil, lemon pepper seasoning, and salt until evenly covered. Transfer wings onto a cooling rack.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Turn over and continue cooking until chicken wings are cooked through and juices run clear, approximately 10 more minutes.
  • In a small saucepan, combine harissa sauce, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Cook on medium-high heat until the sauce thickens, about 4 minutes. Remove from heat and allow the sauce to cool while the chicken wings finish cooking.
  • Place the wings in a large bowl and preheat the oven broiler to high. Pour the harissa mixture over the wings, mix well to coat evenly, then return them to the cooling rack before broiling for 4 minutes.
