Slow cook tender, juicy chicken with a hint of paprika for a deliciously golden finish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (2 to 3 pound) whole chicken
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
Instructions:
  • Crumple three pieces of aluminum foil into small balls, about 3 to 4 inches in size, and place them at the bottom of a slow cooker.
  • Wash the chicken thoroughly with cold water, both inside and out, and then dry it gently with paper towels. Season generously with salt, pepper, and paprika before placing it in the slow cooker on top of crumpled aluminum foil.
  • Start by setting the slow cooker to High for 1 hour, then reduce the heat to Low and cook for 8 to 10 hours until the chicken is fully cooked with clear juices.
