Indulgent baked spaghetti with layers of savory meat sauce and gooey melted mozzarella - the ultimate cozy weeknight meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package spaghetti
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (32 ounce) jar meatless spaghetti sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.33333334326744 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 5 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 cups small curd cottage cheese
  • 5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
Instructions:
  • Collect all the ingredients needed for the recipe. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • 1. Boil a generous amount of salted water in a large pot. 2. Cook spaghetti in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, until al dente, around 12 minutes. 3. Drain the spaghetti.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir beef and onion until meat is browned and onion is soft, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Remove extra oil from the pan, then mix in spaghetti sauce and seasoned salt.
  • Combine eggs, creamy Parmesan cheese, and luscious butter in a spacious bowl. Mix in the spaghetti until evenly coated.
  • Layer 1/2 of the spaghetti mixture in the baking dish, followed by 1/2 of the cottage cheese, 2 cups of mozzarella, and 1/2 of the meat sauce. Repeat the layers and then cover with aluminum foil.
  • After 40 minutes in the preheated oven, uncover and top with the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella.
  • Bake until the cheese is golden and bubbly, about 20-25 minutes.
