Marinated tofu cubes baked to perfection with a sweet and savory glaze, versatile for snacking or topping salads.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package extra firm tofu
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 dash hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) and lightly coat a non-stick baking sheet with oil.
  • Slice the tofu into 1/2-inch slices, press out excess water, and then cut into 1/2-inch cubes.
  • Combine soy sauce, maple syrup, ketchup, vinegar, hot sauce, sesame seeds, garlic powder, black pepper, and liquid smoke in a bowl. Mix well, add tofu cubes, cover, and marinate for at least 5 minutes.
  • Arrange the tofu on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake in a preheated oven for 15 minutes. Flip the tofu and continue baking until golden brown, about 15 minutes longer.
