Marinated tofu cubes baked to perfection in a flavorful soy-ginger marinade, a tasty meat-free protein choice.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package extra-firm tofu, cut into 1/4-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, or to taste
  • 1 (1 inch) piece fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • 0.5 cup low-sodium soy sauce
Instructions:
  • Place tofu cubes on paper towels, layering with more paper towels on top. Add weight on top to press out excess water. Let drain for 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.
  • In a small skillet over medium heat, toast sesame seeds until fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  • Combine soy sauce, ginger, and sesame seeds in a large pan. Allow tofu to soak in the flavorful mixture for 12 minutes on each side.
  • Lay the flavorful marinated tofu evenly on the baking sheet.
  • Bake tofu in a hot oven for 15 minutes, then flip and bake until firm and heated through, about 15 more minutes.
