Balsamic strawberries with ricotta cream

Indulge in this tempting Italian-inspired sweet treat.
Ingredients:
  • 40.00 ml balsamic vinegar
  • 2 x 250g punnets strawberries, hulled, halved
  • 200g fresh ricotta, crumbled
  • 63.13 gm thickened cream
  • 37.50 gm icing sugar mixture
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over low heat, combine sugar, vinegar, and 1 tablespoon cold water for the balsamic strawberries with ricotta cream. Simmer gently until slightly thickened, about 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat and gently stir in the strawberries to coat in the syrup. Allow it to cool for 30 minutes.
  • Combine ricotta, cream, and icing sugar in a bowl. Beat with a wooden spoon until mixture is smooth and well incorporated.
  • Divide the chilled strawberry mixture among bowls, top with dollops of creamy ricotta, and serve.
