Balsamic vinegar-pickled eggs with onion, garlic, and striking dark color - a captivating dish for any gathering!
Ingredients:
  • 6 large eggs
  • 0.5 medium onion, sliced
  • 0.5 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 5 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, gently nestle the eggs and ensure they are covered with cold water. Bring to a boil, then promptly remove from heat, cover, and let the eggs sit in the hot water for 10 to 12 minutes. Submerge the eggs in a bowl of cold water and peel once cool.
  • In a saucepan over high heat, mix together onion, balsamic vinegar, water, garlic, and sugar; bring to a boil. Allow it to cool to room temperature, about 30 to 45 minutes.
  • Add peeled eggs to a glass jar and generously pour over the chilled vinegar mixture. Seal the jar, then let it chill in the refrigerator for a minimum of 4 to 5 days before enjoying.
