Decadent holiday banana cake with rich chocolate and marzipan notes.
Ingredients:
  • 11 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3.5 ounces marzipan
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 medium bananas, cut into small chunks
  • 3.5 ounces high-quality dark chocolate (at least 75%), chopped
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch pan by greasing and flouring it.
  • In a large bowl, blend together sugar, butter, marzipan, and vanilla extract until smooth using an electric mixer. Incorporate eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in flour and baking powder.
  • Incorporate ripe bananas and rich chocolate into the batter with a gentle folding motion. Transfer the luscious batter into the pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
