Indulgent banana split trifle: layers of pound cake, pudding, fruit, and chocolate syrup inspired by the classic sundae.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 (5.1 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 marble pound cake, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries
  • 2 medium bananas, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup, or to taste
  • 0.25 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 large strawberry
Instructions:
  • Combine milk and pudding mix in a large bowl, whisking vigorously for 2 minutes. Add pineapple, then gently fold in whipped topping.
  • Layer a third of the cake cubes in a trifle bowl. Drizzle a third of the pudding mixture over them. Arrange sliced strawberries along the sides of the bowl and place any extra strawberries over the pudding.
  • Spread half of the remaining cake cubes over the strawberries, pour half of the remaining pudding mixture. Line the bowl's sides with banana slices, then place any leftover bananas over the pudding. Top with remaining cake cubes, spreading the rest of the pudding over the top.
  • Pour rich, velvety chocolate syrup generously over the creamy pudding, creating an artful zigzag pattern, then generously sprinkle with crunchy walnuts. Cut the large strawberry lengthwise, ensuring the stem remains attached, fan out the slices on top of the trifle for an elegant touch. Enjoy immediately or chill until serving time.
