Easy and comforting banana nut bread, perfect for breakfast or snacking.
Ingredients:
  • Mazola Pure® No-Stick Canola or Butter Flavored Cooking Spray
  • 1.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Argo® Baking Powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.75 cup mashed bananas
  • 0.5 cup Mazola® Corn Oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Spice Islands® Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 0.5 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously coat an 8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk egg, bananas, oil, and vanilla. Combine with flour mixture and stir until moistened. Gently fold in walnuts.
  • Transfer the batter into the loaf pan that has been prepared.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes until puffed, golden brown, and a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the loaf pan to cool on a rack for 10 minutes, then gently remove the bread from the pan. Enjoy warm or store in an air-tight container.
