Baked barramundi with crispy bread crumb crust and zesty lemon-butter-basil sauce. Delicious Asian sea bass dish.
Ingredients:
  • 4 (4 ounce) fillets barramundi (Asian sea bass)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, or as needed
  • 1 cup dried bread crumbs
  • 0.5 teaspoon seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 pinch dried thyme
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 0.25 cup lemon juice
  • 0.25 cup white wine
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Coat fish fillets with a luscious layer of olive oil.
  • Prepare the topping by combining bread crumbs, seafood seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon zest, and thyme on a large plate until evenly mixed.
  • Coat fillets evenly with bread crumb mixture by pressing gently. Place coated fillets on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Place fillets in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes, then flip them over and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the fish easily flakes with a fork.
  • Create a flavorful sauce by whisking together melted butter, zesty lemon juice, crisp white wine, and fragrant basil in a small bowl until fully blended.
  • Drizzle the delicious sauce generously over the perfectly cooked fish before serving.
