Pan-fried barramundi with a zesty lemon crust, drizzled with luxurious truffle oil for a quick and easy gourmet meal.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (8 ounce) barramundi (Asian sea bass) fillets
  • 1 lemon, zested and sliced
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 0.5 cup olive oil
  • 0.5 cup canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon truffle oil, or to taste
Instructions:
  • After giving the barramundi a quick rinse, gently pat it dry with a paper towel and massage it with fragrant lemon zest.
  • Sift flour onto waxed paper, then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Coat both sides of the barramundi with the seasoned flour mixture, gently shaking off any excess.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, warm up a blend of olive oil and canola oil. Add the barramundi, skin side down. Cook until each side is a light golden color, about 3 to 4 minutes per side. Use a broad spatula to move the fish to a plate. Finish by drizzling with truffle oil and topping with lemon slices.
