Irresistible cupcakes for a fun team celebration!
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • 3 tubs (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Vanilla Frosting
  • Assorted food colors
  • Black shoestring licorice
  • Candy-coated fruit-flavored bite-size candies
  • Assorted fruit slice candies
  • 1 tube (0.68 oz) Betty Crocker™ decorating gel, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans) and line 24 regular-size muffin cups with paper baking cups. Prepare the cake mix according to the box instructions to make 24 cupcakes. Let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack. Once fully cooled after about 30 minutes, remove the paper baking cups before serving.
  • Prepare the frosting by dividing it into small bowls for each desired color, then mix in food coloring. Slice the top off each cupcake to create a flat surface, flip them upside down, and frost with the prepared frosting.
  • Arrange licorice pieces along the sides of the caps from the center out for seams. Put one candy-coated fruit candy at the top center. Use fruit slice candies to create brims (cut them if needed). Write a team initial or child's name on the caps using gel. Store with a loose cover.
