Ingredients:
  • 200.00 gm Japanese Style Sushi Rice
  • 32.50 gm mirin seasoning
Instructions:
  • Rinse the rice thoroughly in the sieve until the water runs clear. Allow it to drain for 10 minutes before using.
  • In a small saucepan, combine the rice with 1 cup of cold water over medium heat. Cover the saucepan and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer, covered, for 12 minutes until the water is absorbed. Remove from the heat and let it stand, covered, for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Transfer the rice to a spacious ceramic dish. Gently break up any lumps in the rice using a spatula. Slowly incorporate the seasoning, lifting and turning the rice until it cools down.
