Delicious and in-demand French bread pesto appetizer. Perfect for potlucks or pairing with soups and salads. Upgrade with sun-dried tomato pesto for extra flavor!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (1 pound) loaf French baguette
  • 0.66666668653488 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.33333334326744 cup basil pesto
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven on broiler setting. Lay bread slices in a single layer on a cookie sheet and toast under broiler for 5 to 8 minutes until lightly golden, being mindful not to burn. Flip the slices over once to have the toasted side facing down.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Combine mayonnaise, pesto, garlic, Parmesan, and salt in a small bowl. Spread the mixture evenly on the untoasted sides of the bread slices.
  • Preheat the oven and bake for 6 to 8 minutes until golden. Set to broil and briefly broil until bubbly. Cool slightly before serving.
