Basil pesto: A summer favorite made with fresh basil, pine nuts, garlic, Parmesan, and olive oil. Perfect for pasta or grilled meats. Homemade beats store-bought every time. Ingredients:
  • 45g (1/4 cup) pine nuts
  • 375.00 ml fresh basil leaves
  • 2 small garlic cloves, halved
  • 60g (3/4 cup) shredded parmesan
  • 91.00 gm olive oil
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C. Place pine nuts on a baking tray and bake for about 5 minutes until toasted. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 minutes before using.
  • Combine pine nuts, basil, garlic, and parmesan in a food processor. While running, slowly pour in oil until mixture is well blended and finely chopped.
