Elevate your summer BBQ with Bayou Sam's Cajun Burger, served with Zapp's Cajun Chips, sweet cantaloupe, and chilled Black Diamond watermelon hearts. Celebrate summer in style!
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 pounds extra lean ground beef
  • 4 cloves roasted garlic, chopped
  • 1 pinch garlic pepper
  • 1 pinch lemon pepper
  • 1 pinch Cajun seasoning
  • 4 slices sweet onion, 1/2 inch thick
  • 4 large Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 4 slices smoked Edam cheese
  • 4 green leaf lettuce leaves
  • 3 roma (plum) tomatoes, sliced
  • 8 dill pickle slices
  • 1 teaspoon Creole mustard
  • 1 tablespoon creamy salad dressing, e.g. Miracle Whip ™
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
Instructions:
  • Heat up the outdoor grill on high.
  • Combine the ground beef and roasted garlic, shaping the mixture into four patties about 3/4 inch thick. Season the patties with garlic pepper, lemon salt, and Cajun seasoning.
  • Prepare the grilling surface with a light layer of oil. Grill the onions until toasted on both sides. Place the beef patties on the grill and top with the grilled onions. Cook for approximately 5 minutes on each side or until cooked to your liking. Brush both sides of the Hawaiian rolls with grease and toast on the grill.
  • Place the patties on buns and stack with American and Edam cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and a selection of condiments like ketchup, Creole mustard, and salad dressing. Feel free to customize with your favorites.
