Effortless BBQ oven-baked chicken breasts ready in under an hour for busy weeknights.
Ingredients:
  • 4 whole skin-on, bone-in chicken breasts
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (such as Sweet Baby Ray's®)
  • kosher salt and coarsely ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • Prepare all your fresh and flavorful ingredients.
  • Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) and line a baking pan with heavy-duty foil for easy cleanup.
  • Trim off rib meat from chicken breasts, if desired, then rinse and pat dry, leaving the skin intact. Season generously with salt and pepper before placing in the pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes until juices start to appear, then reduce the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C).
  • Drizzle half of the barbecue sauce over the chicken in a tempting cascade before returning it to the oven for 20 minutes. Drizzle the remaining sauce after for another mouthwatering layer of flavor.
  • Continue cooking until the centers are no longer pink and the skin is crispy, for an additional 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Serve the dish while it's still hot to fully savor and enjoy all the delicious flavors!
