Cheesy baked shell pasta with savory ground beef and pepperoni.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (16 ounce) package uncooked pasta shells
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 0.25 cup chopped onions
  • 0.25 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 (3 ounce) package pepperoni, sliced
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 cups tomato juice
  • 0.75 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon celery salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon dried basil
  • 0.125 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a cozy 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • 1. Boil a large pot of salted water until it's rolling. Add the shell pasta and cook until al dente, stirring occasionally, for about 13 minutes. Drain in a colander.
  • Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown ground beef with onion and green pepper, then drain excess grease. Add pepperoni, tomato sauce, tomato juice, oregano, celery salt, onion powder, garlic salt, basil, red pepper flakes, and cooked pasta. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and cover with foil before baking.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Remove casserole, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese melts.
