Tender beef tips simmered in savory soy and Worcestershire sauce, ideal over egg noodles or white rice.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 pounds cubed beef stew meat
  • 3 cups water, divided
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 (.75 ounce) packet dry brown gravy mix
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over high heat, heat oil until shimmering. Saute onion until nearly translucent, approximately 3 minutes. Add stew meat and brown on all sides, stirring occasionally for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Combine 2 cups water, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce in a skillet. Mix in garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then bring to a boil. Lower the heat, cover, and simmer until the meat is tender, for about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
  • Once the meat is nearly cooked, blend the remaining 1 cup of water with the gravy mix until well incorporated. Pour the mixture into the meat and bring it to a boil. Cook, stirring often, until it slightly thickens.
