Tender beef steaks marinated in red wine, garlic, and spices, double pan fried for extra crunch, served with savory Portuguese-inspired gravy.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup red wine
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 10 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chile paste
  • 0.5 teaspoon white pepper
  • 6 (4 ounce) beef tenderloin steaks
  • 0.33333334326744 cup vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Combine red wine, water, garlic, chile paste, white pepper, and salt in a medium bowl. Coat the beef evenly in the flavorful mixture.
  • Sear 3 steaks in a large heavy skillet over medium heat for 2 minutes on each side. Remove steaks and pour the delicious pan juices into the red wine mixture. Repeat with the rest of the beef.
  • Heat oil in skillet over medium-low heat. Sear steaks for 2 minutes on each side. Drain excess oil, then add steaks and marinade back to the pan. Simmer for 2 minutes.
