Family-favorite hearty pizza adored by my husband, reminiscent of cherished childhood memories.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.5 pound pepperoni sausage, diced
  • 1 pound bacon, diced
  • 1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 (28 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beer
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 unbaked pizza crusts
  • 1 (8 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  • - Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Saute the pepperoni and bacon until evenly browned. Add mushrooms, onion, and green pepper. Cook and stir for about 5 minutes until tender.
  • Combine the skillet ingredients with tomato sauce and beer in a saucepan over medium heat. Season with garlic, oregano, thyme, and salt, and simmer for 15 minutes until slightly thickened. Spread the mixture over 2 pizza crusts and add cheese on top.
  • Bake until the cheese is gooey and bubbly and the crust is a perfect golden brown, about 20-25 minutes in the preheated oven.
