Skip the crowded fish fry and enjoy homemade fish in under 15 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • Vegetable oil
  • 1 pound fish fillets, thawed if frozen
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/2 cup regular or nonalcoholic beer
  • Tartar sauce, if desired
Instructions:
  • In a heavy 3-quart saucepan or deep fryer, heat 1 1/2 inches of oil to 350°. Gently coat the fish with 3 to 4 tablespoons of Bisquick mix.
  • Whisk together 1 cup Bisquick mix, beer, salt, and egg until silky smooth using a hand beater. If batter is thick, gently mix in extra beer, 1 tablespoon at a time, until it reaches your preferred consistency. Coat fish in batter, allowing any extra to drip off into the bowl.
  • Sear the fish in oil for 2 minutes per side until golden brown; then drain. Serve hot with tartar sauce.
