Crispy beer-battered fish fillets with flavorful paprika and garlic seasoning, deep-fried to perfection for a delicious meal everyone will love!
Ingredients:
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 quarts vegetable oil for frying
  • 8 (4 ounce) fillets cod
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 1 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle beer, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oil in a deep fryer to 365°F (185°C). Prepare the cod fillets by rinsing, drying, and seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Stir in egg until well mixed. Slowly incorporate beer until a thin batter forms.
  • Coat cod fillets in batter and then gently place them one by one into the hot oil. Fry a few fillets at a time, turning once, until they are golden brown and cooked through on both sides. Drain on paper towels before repeating with remaining fillets. Serve while still warm.
