Whip up these easy and delicious brined and baked drumsticks in no time for a crowd-pleasing party dish!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons kosher (coarse) salt
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 2 cans or bottles (12 oz each) beer or nonalcoholic beer, chilled
  • 24 chicken wing drummettes (3 lb)
  • 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Combine water, 2 tablespoons of kosher salt, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, and beer in a 1-gallon resealable bag. Add drummettes, seal the bag, place in a large bowl, and refrigerate for 8 to 24 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a 15x10x1-inch pan with foil. Take chicken out of the brine, rinse it well with cool water, pat dry with paper towels, and place it in the pan.
  • Combine 3 tablespoons of brown sugar, 3 teaspoons of salt, garlic powder, and pepper in a small bowl. Brush chicken with oil and generously coat with the seasoning mixture.
  • Bake uncovered for 45-55 minutes, flip halfway through, until chicken is cooked through.
