Berries and Crème Sandwich Cookies

Bake Betty Crocker® cookie mix with mixed berries for a delightful treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sliced fresh strawberries and blackberries
  • 1 tub (16 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Cream Cheese Frosting
  • Powdered sugar, as desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Combine cookie mix, softened butter, egg, and flour in a large bowl, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  • Fold in the luscious strawberries and juicy blackberries, then scoop 2-level-teaspoonful portions of the batter onto an ungreased cookie sheet, placing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake the cookies until set, which should take 8 to 10 minutes. Let them cool for 1 to 2 minutes, then transfer them from the baking sheet to a cooling rack. Allow the cookies to cool completely, for about 30 minutes.
  • Take one cookie and generously spread frosting on the bottom. Place another cookie on top, bottom side facing down. Avoid pressing them together too firmly. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Repeat with remaining cookies until all are used.
