Create a nutritious breakfast by mixing oats with fresh fruit and nuts for a tasty, low-fat meal.
Ingredients:
  • 300.00 gm rolled oats (see note)
  • 393.75 gm unsweetened apple juice
  • 1 granny smith apple, coarsely grated
  • 125.00 ml slivered almonds, toasted
  • 2 small limes, juiced
  • 250.00 ml plain yoghurt (thick)
  • 250.00 ml mixed fresh berries (we used blackberries, strawberries, raspberries)
  • 57.20 gm honey
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, add oats and pour in apple juice until covered. Mix well and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, allowing flavors to meld.
  • Add freshly chopped apples, toasted almonds, a quarter cup of zesty lime juice, and a generous serving of creamy yogurt along with a burst of color from mixed berries right before serving.
  • Divide muesli into bowls, then top with the rest of the yogurt and mixed berries. Finish with a drizzle of honey and serve right away.
