Delicious chickpea flour halwa, a sweet treat loved by both kids and adults.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup water
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 0.75 cup ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1 cup chickpea flour (besan)
  • 1 cup sugar
Instructions:
  • Simmer milk and water in a saucepan over medium-low heat, then stir in the cardamom. Set aside.
  • In a shallow skillet over medium heat, melt the ghee. Stir in the chickpea flour and cook until fragrant for about 10 minutes. Add the sugar and mix well. Slowly pour the milk mixture into the skillet while stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Keep cooking and stirring until the halwa pulls away from the pan edges, for about 10 to 15 minutes. Serve hot or spread the mixture onto a rimmed plate to cool, then cut into squares before serving.
